The Odeon of Athens

Constructed in the 2nd century AD by Herodes Atticus, the Odeon of Athens served as a venue for musical performances during the Panathenaic festival. With a capacity of 5,000 spectators, it featured a striking wooden roof adorned with marble tiles.

Abandoned after the decline of ancient Athens, it was restored in the 1950s and remains a cultural hub, hosting concerts, theatrical productions, and other events today.

The Erechtheion

The Erechtheion is an ancient Greek temple located on the north side of the Acropolis in Athens. It was built between 421 and 406 BC, during the reign of Pericles, to replace an earlier temple destroyed by the Persians. The temple was dedicated to both Athena Polias and Poseidon-Erechtheus, two important deities in Athenian mythology.

The Erechtheion is renowned for its unique architectural design, including the famous Porch of the Caryatids, featuring six draped female figures as supporting columns.
